All testing is done quickly, without the delays associated with traditional, hospital-based emergency departments. Contrary to urgent care clinics, GTEC’s Port Arthur location is a freestanding emergency room. GTEC utilizes the state-of-the-art equipment and technology of a modern hospital ER, including CT scans, bedside emergency ultrasound, digital radiology, and a full clinical laboratory. GTEC cares for you and your family in the comfort of an upscale clinical environment, without the typical inconveniences associated with a hospital-based emergency room.
Our physicians, in conjunction with our experienced nursing and support staff, work as a team to treat you with compassion, speed, and quality medical care. Our doctors strive to spend time with our patients, making an extra effort to answer all questions prior to discharge. For your convenience, we are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
At GTEC, you have the benefit of being evaluated and treated with state-of-the-art medical technology. We have onsite CT scans, digital X-ray technology, and ultrasound. And the best part is, your results are read by radiologists within minutes. You are in good hands at GTEC. Our onsite laboratory can process complete blood counts, electrolyte/metabolic panels, urinalysis, cardiac enzymes, and other emergency department tests. Additionally, we are experienced in electrocardiogram testing and analysis – all aspects of Minor and Major Emergency Care.
